LG Cookie Fresh Pink Joins the LG GS290 Cookie Series

A new pink and white edition of the latest LG Cookie Fresh has now been launched, joining the recently released silver and orange colour variants this new LG GS290 model offers the same features, technology and design but packs them into a new white and pink coloured casing.

The large 3 inch touch screen is complimented with the recognisable but updated user interface of the original LG Cookie KP500 which gives a fun cartoon feel to the user experience. There is also a 2.0 mega pixel camera on the reverse of the phone for capturing video clips and pictures.

Social networking features heavily in this new LG phone with support for most of the top websites including Facebook and Twitter, you can instantly upload photos, update you profile status, Tweet from phone and keep up to date with all of your online friends activities.

The main home screen is easily customisable with a wealth of widgets and shortcuts to your favourite applications and features whilst there is also a multimedia player and FM radio with a 3.5mm jack for plugging in your favourite set of standard headphones.

The new LG Cookie Fresh takes much of the original design of the first Cookie phone and will also be available in a range of colour schemes, joining the new silver, pink and orange colour variants will also be a blue, lime green, purple and black edition.

There are a number of new releases offering a similar sized touch screen experience including the Nokia X6, Sony Ericsson Vivaz, LG Pop and HTC Legend. The LG GS290 is a far cheaper phone which it manages by negating features like WiFi and 3G as well as GPS leaving an affordable but practical and fun handset.

Judging from the success of the first LG KP500 and KP501 models the new Cookie Fresh looks set to increase sales volumes for the manufacturer, the main competition comes from the popular Samsung Genio Touch but this new LG handset trumps the model on price and in our opinion looks as well.

The pink LG Cookie Fresh has now been made available on Pay As You Go deals with further network launches expected very soon n contract deals as well as a SIM Free and unlocked mobile phone. The original silver edition is now available on Pay As You Go as well as SIM Free whilst the white and orange version is also a SIM free handset for the time being.
